Our Client operates as a residential and day visit activity centre focussing mainly on young people, community groups as well as the corporate sector. They provide a range of activities for young people including, canoeing, paddle boarding, survival skills, problem solving and so much more!
Due to exciting expansion plans, they are now looking to recruit a Catering Manager to join their close knit and hardworking team. The purpose of the Catering Manager is to be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of all the Catering Department’s (Kitchen and Front of House) activities. The team have a passion for everything they do and our client is looking for someone who shares these passions.
The company has a very strong family feel and together, every month, the team take part in various team activities, including pub quizzes, bowling, and roller skating! They also offer opportunities for their team to progress and develop themselves by providing training and discounts on courses.
oRole & Responsibilities for the Catering Manager:
oMenu planning and preparation
oManaging stock levels and ordering supplies
oTraining, supervising and motivation all staff in their team
oOrganising staff rotas to meet the requirements of the business
oEnsuring that health and safety regulations are strictly observed, recorded and archived
oMonitoring and maintaining the quality of products and service
oMaintaining financial and administrative records
oKeeping to budget with ordering supplies
oComing up with new and creative ideas
oExcellent communication skills, work ethic and a “can do” attitude
oStrong passion for food is an absolute must
oPrevious experience managing a catering team would be desirable
oMinimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
oExcellent customer service skills
oGood knowledge and understanding of dietary requirements, food safety and health and safety regulations
oExperience of developing new menu ideas would be essential
oNVQ level 2/3 in food preparation and cookery or an equivalent qualification would be ideal

In return, the Catering Manager will receive a salary of £22,000 - £24,500 per annum.
