A growing company that has built its name on engineering some of Britain’s finest municipal vehicles is seeking a Field-Based Engineer to join its team where you will cover areas such as; Watford, Slough, Potters Bar and North West London. In this Field-Based role your duties will include:
·Accurately diagnosing faults and report findings to the Aftersales Manager
·Liaising with the parts department to ensure correct parts are ordered and stock levels are kept up to date on their van & maintaining health & safety standards
·Completing service records and timesheets in an accurate and timely manner
·Correctly labelling warranty parts and returning them to stores
·Ensuring standards are maintained relative to maintenance/cleanliness of vehicles
·Carrying out operator training at the customers’ premises
·Liaising with drivers, crews and customers when required
To be a successful Field-Based Engineer you will have the following skills and experience:
·Extensive experience in the commercial vehicle sector, ideally experienced in electrical and hydraulic refuse collection vehicle operation.
·Presentable, enthusiastic, self-motivated, well organised.
·Display initiative with attention to detail and excellent customer skills.
·Able to work within Health & Safety regulations.
·Have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
·A natural problem solver.
·Good verbal communication skills.
Full training on the company’s own products will be provided.
