A relatively new charity in the social care sector, formed by the merger of two locally based charities is looking for a Director of Operations and Quality to join the team in leading excellence and supporting people with learning disabilities.

People are at the heart of everything they do, and they aim to be a fabulous place to work for people who have and demonstrate the right values in this person-centred team.  You will have overall control and responsibility for all operational services, setting high standards, ensuring expectations are met, as well as taking accountability for compliance with regulatory authorities and securing sustainability for the future.

As Director of Operations and Quality, your duties will include:

·Developing and delivering the operational and quality plan, including all growth, occupancy and financial targets.

·Taking responsibility for establishing and maintaining a culture of excellence across all operational services, ensuring that they are managed to a consistently high standard and that the service users are safe and supported to fulfil their potential.

·Ensuring that people processes are performed to a high standard across all services in line with the vision and values of the organisation.

·Ensuring that positive relationships are maintained and developed with commissioners, families and other external stakeholders in order to enhance the organisation’s reputation.

·Maximising opportunities to grow and develop the organisation’s potential.

To be a successful Director of Operations and Quality, you will have the following skills and experience:

·Experience in social care/health is preferred but not essential

·Have experience operating at a senior level leading operations and quality in multi-site complex environments.

·Excellent and proven leadership skills, a professional manner and presentation, and an adaptable and responsive management style

·Good understanding of a quality and/or regulatory framework, and extensive experience of working with third parties developing and maintaining good working relationships with all stakeholders.

·Strong literacy and numeracy skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
