Receptionist/ Accommodation Concierge

Full time, permanent position


We are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our front of house reception team at Friargate Court, in Preston, which provides luxury student and key worker accommodation to suit a variety of requirements and needs.

This is where you come in.

As a receptionist you will oversee all aspects of the reception area as well as assisting the Accommodation Manager with their daily tasks.

You will be the first face people see when being welcomed into Friargate Court and will interact with students and key workers every day, so we are looking for someone with great communication skills.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·To act as a positive and professional first point of contact for residents and visitors at Friargate

·To act the first port of call for any enquiries or issues that arise, logging and dealing with any queries or complaints as per procedure

·To obtain, log and update all details of the students including all emergency information

·To respond to emergency situations and contact appropriate parties as and when required

·To assist with and conduct ‘move in’ and ‘move out’ procedures for residents, ensuring all relevant documents have been obtained

·To maintain the resident record system, including cross-referencing all details to ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date

·To accurately receive, log and distribute post, deliveries and parcels

·To book, order and obtain payment for any extra services as required by the residents, such as private cleaning, laundry and printing, etc.

·To liaise with the maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure that issues are attended to and resolved

·To ensure daily routine jobs are completed as per company standard and procedure

·To have a healthy, working knowledge of all office procedures

·To ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed in compliance with regulations in the day to day running of the business and accommodation

·To assist with any other relevant tasks that may be necessary in the interests of the business


The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:

·Experience in administration

·Experience in hospitality

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·Good knowledge of IT systems

·Good level of organizational skills

·Ability to prioritise workload

·Flexibility to the needs of the business

·Good level of presentation, passion and enthusiasm

·Ability to keep calm under pressure and work to solve problems

·Reasonable knowledge of Health and Safety

·Reasonable knowledge of Security

·Full UK driving license


The role:

·Full time, permanent position

·7-day rota with shifts times being Monday to Friday from 7am to 3.30pm or 10.30am to 7.00pm and Saturday and Sunday shift times are from 9.00am to 5.30pm
