We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and hard working person to work in our residential setting, located in the Highercroft area of Blackburn.

As a Young Person's Residential Child Care Support Worker (RCCSW) you will:
·Be required to work in a very diverse and highly challenging environment
·Adopt a trauma informed approach, you will be expected to complete assessments, deliver direct work interventions and work creatively to engage and maintain positive working relationships with our young people.
·Have underpinning knowledge of caring for young people who may have experienced substance misuse, mental health and self-harm issues, possible CSE and episodes of missing from home, alongside being required to arrange and actively participate in a wide range of physical and leisure activities that help to promote good outcomes for young people.
·Be required to liaise effectively with colleagues in various internal and external agencies as well as young people’s families where appropriate.
·Be flexible, responsive and reflective to various situations as and when they arise.
The role works as part of a rota that delivers a 24/7 service and this rota covers 365 days per year including all Bank Holidays, this rota dictates various shift patterns and is managed over a 148-hour working month, including sleeping-in duties.

A diploma level 3 which is equivalent to NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care/Children and Young people or be working towards, or other equivalent qualifications are an essential requirement of this post.
