What are DBS Checks?
The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps employers make safer recruitment decisions. The Basic Check
The Basic check was originally set up to prevent unsuitable people from working with certain groups, including children. With the launch of the Basic DBS Check in January 2018, a check can now be made on ANY individual, in ANY industry, which makes it even easier for an employer to be sure about their decision when recruiting.
