Latest Update from the DBS The DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) have today released updated information regarding standard and enhanced DBS checks and their checking process.
To ensure that the necessary DBS checks can still be carried out, the DBS standard and enhanced ID checking guidance will be changed for a temporary period.
The change will enable:
- ID documents to be viewed over video link
- scanned images to be used in advance of the DBS check being submitted
The DBS acknowledge that organisations will be having difficulty in checking these documents face to face, as usual, and has implemented these changes from 19th March 2020.
